Hi [[contact.first_name|default: "friend"]]!
...and hello Summer! My new Summer Collection is filled with all of the color I see this time of year and I'm delighted to share it with you!
New Tea Towels include: a coneflower native flower mix fit for pollinators | a rose garden painted from some favorite varieties | blueberry + strawberry prints (because it's not summer in Maine without them!) | and a blue watercolor plaid reminiscent of picnics on the lawn or by the ocean
Notecards are "mini prints" of my paintings, oversized and frame-able, blank on the inside and perfect for any occasion.
Coasters are hand-poured at my studio in Eliot, Maine, and are very unique. They make a fun and affordable detail to freshen up your home for summer, and make great gifts! * Beverage Coasters are sold in pairs, wrapped in string with a mini card attached. * Soap Coasters do not have the cork bases and are designed to get wet! They add an unexpected splash of color to any sink. And choose a soap from Sappo Hill Soapworks to add a beautiful scent to your bath. The Aloe Vera is a customer favorite these days. Infused with aloe, the rich lather feels very soothing on sun-kissed skin.

Upcoming Show + New Painting: Pastene!
|
I'm thrilled that my oil painting, Pastene!, has been selected by Historic New England and the Dover Arts Commission for their upcoming exhibit, A Seacoast Garden. This painting is available for sale and will hang at the Sarah Orne Jewett House in South Berwick, Maine from July – October 2025.
"This exhibition is inspired by the new collections on display at the Hamilton House. This new display examines Elise Tyson’s early 20th century photography of the Hamilton House Gardens and her floral arrangements. Tyson found inspiration for her photography and art in her garden and others along the seacoasts of Maine and New Hampshire. Elise was inspired by the beauty and uniqueness she found in these gardens. A Seacoast Garden weaves together the works of local artists that
are interpretations or are inspired by the local seacoast gardens of today with Elise Tyson's garden photographs. Together, this exhibition examines the unique beauty of seacoast gardens and the purposes they serve today and in the past." – Historic New England
The selected painting is special to me as it's based on memories of a bouquet picked from our backyard at the height of summer. My daughter and I had a roadside flower stand when she was little. It brought joy to sow seeds together, tend to them and arrange our favorites in jars. We would include a real hodgepodge in our “bouquets” which included flowers, fruits and veggies. I cooked a lot of pasta as a young mom and the jars at our stand reflected
that!
Opening reception is open to the public this Thursday, July 10 from 5–7 p.m. Join us! For more info, click here. Sarah Orne Jewett House, 5 Portland Street, South Berwick, ME
